Role Overview
Apple is hiring a Web Accessibility Engineer to help ensure its web properties meet accessibility standards and work well with assistive technologies. You'll audit existing pages, fix issues, and work with design and engineering teams to build accessibility in from the start.
What You'll Do
- Audit web pages and components against accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Fix accessibility issues in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Test pages with screen readers and other assistive technologies
- Partner with design and engineering teams to build accessibility into new features
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 0-2 years of front-end or accessibility-focused experience
- Solid HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
- Familiarity with WCAG guidelines and assistive technologies
